If you have interests in ethnology, you may want to visit the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology (Bảo tàng Dân tộc học Việt Nam). Vietnam is a multiethnic country with 54 distinct groups, each with its own language, lifestyle, and cultural heritage. The largest three ethnic groups are: Kinh (Việt) 85.7%, Tay 1.9%, and Tai Ethnic 1.8%.

Base on different criteria, these artifacts are classified into ethnicity, utility, clothing, jewelry, agricultural tools, fishing gear, weapons, household items, musical instruments, religion, weddings, funeral, and many other spiritual and social activities.

The museum has two exhibition halls and outdoor area. One hall focus on the study of Vietnamese ethnic groups. Another hall focus on the study of ethnology of South-East and the world.

In the outdoor area, there are 10 folk architectural works. It demostrates the original houses which some ethnic groups live. Those houses are avalible to visit inside.

The Vietnam National Museum of Fine Arts (Bảo tàng Mỹ thuật Việt Nam) is the biggest museum in Vietnam. The second one is Ho Chi Minh City Museum of Fine Arts. Ho Chi Minh Museum is a museum which studies the history about the life of the President Ho Chi Minh, his revolutionary activities, and the career of people's education throughout materials, documents, and historical relics to present in the museum. Vietnam Military History Museum is one of six national museums and is the first military museum, established on July 17, 1956 at Hanoi and began to open for tourists on December 21, 1959.
